I am very pleased to have this opportunity to recommend one of my capable students at Tianjin University, Mr. xx, to your university's graduate program in Industrial Engineering. Through my extensive observation of him in both academic and extracurricular fields, I have come to the conclusion that Mr. x possesses a number of valuable qualifications that will make him an outstanding member of his graduate class.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. x when he was under my instruction in the course of Quality Management. While attending this course, Mr. x has left me with an impression as a bright and hard-working student who is highly motivated in his coursework. Unlike most of his peers, who gained knowledge merely from school lecturing, Mr. x has spent a great amount of effort and time on carrying out the theory into practice, so I think he therefore has developed a real firm grasp of this subject.
In the past college years, he has enthusiastically taken part in many students' societies, such as Basketball Association, Student Union, English society and so on , which has shown his versatility and organization ability by serving in quite a few positions. In addition, he is also a warm-hearted person who often helps those who are in difficulty. Being a volunteer, he paid a visit to the nursing home for the aged and the orphan school to have lessons for them for free while donating money for their education.
In general, I consider Mr. x a highly promising applicant to the graduate program in his proposed field. I have the least reservation on his potential to succeed in his future educational as well as professional pursuits. I give him my highest recommendation.
