2016考研英語作文：比較狀語的寫作指導(dǎo)
英語寫作當(dāng)中經(jīng)常會用到“……很重要”這一句式，一般考生會用something be important/essential的詞匯表達。不過學(xué)了比較狀語從句以后，大家可以試著用一種更高級的表達方式，一定會讓閱卷老師眼前一亮，作文高分就不在話下啦。
箴言仿寫：Cultivation is to the mind what food is to the body.
——M·T·Cicero
上述句子可以概括為A is to B what C is to D.替換ABCD四個名詞就可以用來表達“重要性”這一概念。
【例句】
★ 人生態(tài)度——樂觀與悲觀
A positive attitude is to life what the sun is to the earth.積極的態(tài)度對于生活，好比太陽對于地球一樣。
★ 談讀書
Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.閱讀對于思想，好比運動對于身體一樣。
★ 贍養(yǎng)父母——家庭
Family is to the people what life is to the individual.家庭對于人類，好比生活對于個人一樣。
★ 投訴信
Cleanness is to the canteen what reputation is to the people.清潔對于食堂來說，好比名譽對于人一樣。
★ 談?wù)\信
Honesty is to the people what life is to the creature.誠信對于人來說，好比生命對于人一樣。
比較狀語(倍數(shù)表達法)：
A+ be+倍數(shù)+as many/much as+ B
A+ be+倍數(shù)+the amount+ B
A+ be+倍數(shù)+what it was+ B
【例句】
★ 從1999年到2009年，奢侈品的銷售增長了3倍。
①The sale of luxuries doubled from the end of 1999 to 2009.
�、赥he sale of luxuries increased three times/three-fold from the end of 1999 to 2009.
�、跘 three-fold increase was seen in the sale of luxuries from the end of 1999 to 2009.
④There was a three-fold increase in the sale of luxuries from the end of 1999 to 2009.

1.通過指代關(guān)系合并簡單句為定語從句
【例句】
★ 故事發(fā)生于19世紀(jì)末期。那個時候，中國正遭受西方列強的蹂躪。
A: The story happened in the late 19th century.
B: At that time, China was suffering from the invasion of western powers.
→合并為定語從句：The story happened in the late 19th century when China was suffering from the invasion of western powers.
2.通過邏輯關(guān)系合并簡單句為狀語從句
【例句】
★ 這個問題很復(fù)雜。我們花了近兩周的時間才把它搞定。
A: The problem was very complicated.
B: It took us nearly two weeks to solve it.
→合并為結(jié)果狀語從句The problem was so complicated that it took us nearly two weeks to solve it.
